Cunuco Retreat was developed as a vacation home designed to enjoy Mindo's natural environment with comfort, spaciousness, and character. Its design responds to the need to create a spacious holiday home, resistant to the humid climate of the area and visually connected with the landscape.
The concept combines contemporary architecture with a warm rural essence. Natural stone provides visual solidity and durability, while wood and bamboo generate a cozy and organic atmosphere. The wide terraces and the elevated structure allow enjoyment of the surroundings, improve natural ventilation, and protect the construction against Mindo's typical humidity.
The main challenge was to build a spacious and functional house in a natural environment with high humidity and demanding weather conditions. The solution was to work with an elevated structure, resistant materials, and a layout that favors ventilation, protection, and comfort. The terraces, railings, and open spaces allow the home to feel connected with the outdoors without losing functionality.
At Wuisler Construcciones, we design and build homes that combine comfort, durability, and natural integration for Mindo's unique environment.
