Project History

Bamboo River View House was conceived as a compact and cozy home, designed to integrate naturally into Mindo's tropical forest. The objective was to create a functional and quiet space where architecture and nature coexist harmoniously, using warm materials and a clean design that maximizes lighting, ventilation, and views of the surrounding landscape.

Architectural Concept

The architectural concept is based on natural minimalism. The combination of concrete, wood, and glass delivers a clean and contemporary aesthetic, while the large windows strengthen the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. The house was designed to feel light, functional, and deeply connected to the green environment that surrounds it.

Challenges & Solution

One of the main challenges of the project was developing a compact home without sacrificing comfort, natural lighting, or visual openness. The solution consisted of optimizing each area through strategic openings, visual integration with the outdoors, and the use of natural materials that provide warmth and durability.
